We Stop the Fight Right

Grease AU*Kevin and Neil had both been sullen and withdrawn after their summer at the beach. Kevin supposes Neil must have had his own summer romance, for he never questioned where Kevin was slipping off to, and was often back later than him. Neil had never shown interest in anyone before, but Kevin noticed a hickey on his neck one morning. When he teasingly questioned Neil about it, Neil just shut him down. Kevin didn’t push too hard. He was too busy with thoughts of when he would get to see Aaron again to be concerned with Neil’s dalliances. What had started with them running into each other a couple of times around the coastal town had led to Kevin being absolutely captivated with Aaron towards the end of their time together, urgency brought on by the fact they had a deadline. He was devastated when they had to say goodbye, that Aaron was going back to the far side of the country.Aaron showing up at Palmetto a few months later should have been great news. Except Kevin had been able to be Kevin with Aaron. Just Kevin. No show of bravado, no false confidence, no carefully constructed mask to protect himself. No trying to keep Riko’s approval.
