From Several Rooms Away

Charles has never been cared for. He's grown up with the push and pull of violence and submission carved into him with the scars along his back. Edwin has never cared for anyone. He was taught not to from the moment he was born into an apathetic aristocratic family with enough money to cook up for absence and negligence. Charles has learnt love the wrong way, the tinted, conditional and cruel type while Edwin never learnt it at all. Somehow, they manage to find love and care in the most unusual of places; extended grand hallways with polished wooden doors and draped navy blue velvet curtains, tight foreign dorms and an unusually quiet skate park.Or: college AU where Charles leaves his farm life only to be tossed into a crowd of wealthy and affluent undergraduates and Edwin is a detached second-year student who has found himself surrounded by the wrong crew.
