Pink To Blue

One day Gordon is sitting on his bed and panting. His bedroom door is cracked open and he’s staring at the floor sadly, curly brown hair falling over his lightly wrinkled face. He’s crying, shoulders heaving with each little sob he lets out. It’s late and he’s trying to be quiet but it’s hard. His hand hurts. Or lack thereof. The pain shoots through his arm to a limb that isn’t even there anymore and it drives him crazy. He sobs louder, clenching his stub when he hears a voice behind him.“Gordon?”Gordon whips his head around, wiping the tears. “What? Benry why didn’t you fucking knock?” Gordon feels anger boil up almost immediately at the sight of the man.“It hurts?” Benry asks almost gently. “Your hand? Or er- your..nub?” He slowly walks into the room, hands tugging at the hem of his shirt.Gordon sighs and looks back down at his hand and stub. “Yes. It does.”ORGordon experiences phantom pain in his non-existent limb.
