Summary
Xenophilius had always been too much like his mother to be loved by his father. His mother, a wonderful, bright soul who saw the beauty in every creature, real or imaginary, was too different for pureblood society. She was an intelligent woman who always spoke her mind, or at least she was before marrying Abraxas Malfoy. Xenophilius always knew she was unhappy with how her life turned out, but he knew she loved her two sons more than anything. She had once confided in him, expressing regret for not having stood up to her husband more firmly, especially in the case of Lucius, and for not protecting him better. Séraphine Malfoy, née Dumont, was a loving mother to Xenophilius and a present mother to Lucius.Xenophilius found out she died during the winter holiday.
