There Will Come a Day

It is a dark and stormy night the first time Selina meets Danny. The kind of dark that makes it impossible to see the nose on your face, and the storm so heavy you got wet just by looking outside. The rain beats on the roof like a drum warning to stay inside.His arrival is heralded by a green tinged flash of lightning, a reverberating clap of thunder, and a gentle tapping on Selina’s window.----“Danny,” she says, drawing his attention. He pauses and shifts the towel to look at her. “Why come to me? Who are you?”Danny ducks his head and lets the towel cover half of his face, hiding the brand from sight. “There will come a day when Batman will ask for your help with a raid,” he almost whispers. He looks small. “You bring home your own stray that night.”
