Echoes in Time

The Doctor runs into an old acquaintance. In the days after he lost Rose, the Doctor was angry and distraught, unsure how to continue. That's when he met Max.After finding himself in mortal peril, he finds himself face to face with a very mortal girl--Max Thompson.Max saves the Doctor, mostly from himself, and offers to take her on a tour of the stars. But something aches beneath the surface, and instead of telling Max that he can't take her, he takes the coward's way out, leaving a seventeen-year-old runaway with nowhere to go on the street corner, every precious thing she owned in a small duffle bag.Eight years later (for her), he meets her again on the cold streets of London.
