Summary
This is an ancient story I posted to FF.net back in 2010. I'm reposting it here because I'm still pretty proud of it, and I also wanted to see the ways my writing has changed and stayed the same since then. This is a sort of "What If" fanfic based around Eleanor from the video game "Rule of Rose." She's canonically very cold and distant, especially for her age, and I wanted to explore what might have happened in her past.Much of the way the story of Rule of Rose is told takes inspiration from fairy tales and storybooks, as most of the principal characters are children, so I wanted to simulate that style in this fic.Content Warnings:- Parental neglect- Parental death/murder-suicide- Alcoholism- Extramarital affair
