Summary
Callum just wants to ask his crush Rayla a simple question: 'Will you go to the movies with me?'

“So, how did you ask my mom out?” Callum was too young to know the details of Harrow and his mom’s relationship. All he knows is they were dating, then engaged, then boom step-dad of the year.
“Well if I’m being honest. Your mom asked me out.” Harrow rubs the back of his neck, “I mean I wanted to but she beat me to the punch.” Harrow moves to lean against the counter, “why? You want to ask someone out?”
“Um, yeah.” Callum can’t help but fidget with the sleeve of his sweater, “my friend Rayla…”
“Oh? The elf girl?” Harrow lets out a thoughtful hum. While sure, he and her uncles don’t really get along - that doesn’t mean the kids can’t. “If you like her, then tell her. Just because you have feelings for her then that doesn’t mean your friendship has to end.”
