Summary
Let us imagine a Dogwarts in twilight. The golden warmth of the sun still lingers in the soil, the stream, the stones that form the skeletons of houses: it is lazy, leaving at its own leisure, a ghost of the sun shining on the settlement even when its source has set. In the east, the sky is painted a soft blue with remnants of daylight hours; in the west it begins to be stained with heavier hues of amethyst and amber, with the ruby red of a warning of the darker hours to come. It is a village caught between day and night, between existence and echoes, between light and the shadow of a foot about to fall.
–––Or: the (existing) story of Lamplight!Ren's rise to godhood re-imagined as a folk tale, or a bedtime story. Or as a very long, very extended metaphor about the consequences of gods touching grass.
