It was funny how much Cyan admired White.

They were a mysterious horse indeed, and their upbringing was obscure knowledge even to the horses that knew them the longest. But Cyan had always held them in high regard, even as young, naive foals.

White had joined the racing league for fame and of course, gourmet carrots - something that Cyan would have loathed them for if they were not already childhood friends. Cyan preferred modesty, and securing a victory wasn’t exactly in the top of their bucket list. They just wanted to connect, to make friends with the other horses within the stables.

But as their careers progressed, Cyan began to feel more than just respect for White. Was it obsession, the desire to surpass them? Or was it… No. It couldn’t have been. White didn’t feel the same, either way.

Cyan has a bad dream.
