Summary

I confess to not knowing very much about Pramila, so if this goes directly against canon, I'm really sorry. My chief inspiration comes from the same work the title is snagged off, Michael Madhusudan Dutta's 'Meghnad Badh Kabya', specifically Pramila's lines:

"Ravan shashur amar, Meghnad swami,

Ami ki dorai sakhi, bihkhari Raghabe?"

which basically translates to, "Ravana is my father-in-law, Meghnad my husband, what do I fear the beggar Raghab?"

Terrifying, competent women are an obsession of mine, and, besides, Meghnad is one of my all-time favourite fictional people. They eloped and got married! It's all so romantic! And such a lovely counterpoint to his father's abduction of Sita.

I'll shut up now.
