Summary
A love letter to Drag0nst0rm's Lauriel (a diehard feanorian warrior) and her surprising talents as a petty stage magician, inspired by our conversation struck up in comments under chapter seven of their "Strands of Possibility" work. The piece depicts a hypothetical snapshot into a late-first-age day in Beleriand in the remaining, nomadic Feanorian faction post-third-kinslaying, wherein Lauriel's card and dice tricks prominently included as effective entertainment for Elros and Elrond. Maglor and Maedhros come in closer to the end and some exploration into their brotherhood- to each other and the dead, particularly Amras- takes place though the piece via an outside perspective's observations. Additionally, I write in my own character created to fill the narrative gaps that only knowing the names of literal royalty creates (they lead split factions so have followers, must have had various staff positions that needed to be filled and most likely had a couple of friends each to their name) and explore their relation to the feanorians on the whole as well as, individually, the living Maglor and Maedhros.I frame the story through the perspective of my created healer, Heriacorch.
