Melting in the Dark

After turning seventeen, Dean spends his summer on a trip across the country at his Uncle Bobby’s house in Oregon. Upon arrival, he has no other intentions for that summer other than hunting and avoiding his dad. What he doesn't intend to do is meet the most interesting person he had, and would ever know.Castiel has no new plans for his 5th summer in Oregon. As far as he knew, he’d simply continue with his solitary hobbies and behavior.Much to his surprise, that summer would be the first time he had ever been pursued. It’s been over a decade. The summer Dean and Castiel spent together may be a distant memory now, but the two are no strangers to that corner of their minds. Despite their reluctance, they’re forced to face the fact when their paths cross again a lifetime later in the same Oregon town; one there for his engagement party, the other for his father’s funeral.
