Summary
On the morning that he met Gandalf and started his adventure, canon!Bilbo had planned a quiet evening. This Bilbo, however, had managed to get stuck with inviting Mrs Bolger-Took and her five eligible daughters over for dinner. In self-defence, he also invited five eligible male cousins. Every single one brought a dish of food. And a friend, who also bought food, as a kind of bribe.
By the time Dwalin approached Bag End a party was in full swing.
