For those that came before us (and those that will come after)

Phainon took a slow step back, raising his hands in surrender. The last thing he wanted to do was look dangerous to someone only kept alive by their instincts. He was just about to speak up to ask if the person needed help when lightning struck with the arrival of the storm, illuminating the dark cave along with it’s inhabitants. Phainon was... enchanted. The picture that the brief second of light revealed burned itself into his very being. A man with three pups clutched in his muscular arms, curled around them protectively even though every breath he took was a heave echoing in the small chamber.or, when the wandering swordsman and dog kin Phainon stumbles upon an weakened lion kin that held three freshly born pups in his arms can't help but fall in love at first sight.
