Summary

He threw his hands up, mock offense lacing his tone. “I was in the middle of a mission, dodging curses left and right, and you’re there blowing up my phone like I’m supposed to text back, what, mid-fight? ‘Hey babe, hold on, let me just dodge this death beam real quick’?”“Don’t be dramatic!” you shot back. “I was just worried! You could’ve said something instead of disappearing for three days!”“Yeah, and that’s the problem!” he interrupted, his voice rising before he caught himself. He ran a hand through his hair, visibly agitated. “You keep... doing that. Caring. And I don’t know what to do with it.” He looked at you again, eyes hard behind the blindfold. “I just… I need space away from you. To think, to actually breathe...”You stared at him, your chest tight. “Fine,” you said quietly. I’ll give you as much space as you need" you grabbed your bag as you walked to the door. "Indefinitely” was the last thing you said before you closed the door.
