Summary
(this is the new last beginning / a distant shore, a long way to somewhere): There's a space in Deanna's mouth that would once have been filled with an instinctive denial, but all that sits there now is the memory that Starfleet mourned Betazed's fall not for Betazed but for the important worlds that could fall next.
