Love isn't the easiest

They were together — and although life had never been kind to them, they still managed to find in each other something that gave them strength. For a long time now, their “acquaintance” had reached far deeper than anyone could have imagined. In the quiet, away from curious eyes, they built something more fragile and yet more enduring than the armor they wore. Isao — firm, disciplined, unbreakable — allowed himself to breathe only beside Kafka, just stop being a legend and simply become a man. And Kafka… Kafka had the rare gift of slipping past walls everyone else was too afraid to touch. He saw the man beneath the Director’s armor. He helped repair the fragile threads of Isao’s bond with Kikoru with a gentleness no one would ever guess he possessed. They knew every vulnerability, every quiet wound, every hidden crack within the other. But what happens when, under the crushing weight of stress, duty, and fear of losing one another…one of them — despite loving with all his heart — reaches for the other’s weakness? What if the love that once sheltered them… becomes a weapon?
