The Weight of a Damaged

This ended up being longer than I thought it would be, hahaI actually got the idea for this oneshot after seeing this soulsex picture by DemyDems. I'm 100% on board with the whole 'soulsex' concept. Honestly, it's the only thing that would make sense with some of the monsters that are in the Underground. But that isn't what happens in this story here. The concept of Soulsex just got me thinking about intimacy between monsters through souls, and I ended up developing A LOT of headcanons about it XDBascially there are a few different meanings behind different situations in which a monster will reveal its soul. The instinctive/subconscious slip of the soul Sans did in the beginning would be kind of the equivalent of a cat showing someone their belly, but a little more meaningful. The gesture means that the monster feels safe and trusts the other completely, kind of like the embodiment of the phrase 'I trust you with my heart' (or in this case, soul). The melding of their souls in Waterfall is even more intimate, being the complete sharing of emotions, thoughts, and memories between two monsters.
