Lily Evans and the List

Lily Evans was planning to spend her sixth year just like she'd spent the previous five; spending time with her friends, studying for her classes, rejecting the distasteful wooing from James Potter, and enjoying the general wonder that comes from attending a school of Magic. Lily did not anticipate an observation her friend Marlene made at the welcoming feast ("Awe, look. Mother hen Potter is in full effect already.") would cause her to wonder what the obnoxious group of boys did whenever they weren't behaving like monkeys. And she absolutely was not going to let her curiosity get the better of her. Not even a little. Lily definitely was not following them to the library to listen in on their conversation. She had to study! The table next to theirs just happened to be her favorite. Obviously.
