Summary
Sam wakes, and the bunker is empty. There is no radio chatter from the room two doors down, the usual telltale that Dean is awake; no sounds of slippered footsteps slapping the concrete outside his bedroom door, reaching nearer, nearer, preempting that three-rap knock and rise and shine; no warmth in the air.
This in itself isn’t entirely unusual. The fact that it’s been weeks since he saw his brother at all is.
