"Steve was excited to hear you were coming out here. He doesn't have a girlfriend right now, y'know, and-”

Nancy laughs. Like, she really laughs, waving her hands in a cut it out gesture that's a little too aggressive for the levity worn on her face. "Nope, no, not going there. Steve and I have been nothing for years, no matter what you keep saying."

Robin knows. She's heard it all from both parties a million times over the years, and she can only imagine what they both think of her. That she's oddly obsessed with their relationship, or maybe that she's just an incredibly dedicated wing-woman to Steve. Both truly humiliating options, but far better than the truth - that so long as she reminds herself Nancy finding home with Steve or Jonathan or an as yet unknown man is inevitable, she can't get her hopes up too high.

"No Steve, no Jon, no Emerson babes... Nancy Wheeler, are you in a man-drought?"

"Actually," Nancy tilts her head, tongue darting out to wet her lips, "I'm not doing that anymore, I don't think."Nancy comes out to Massachusetts visit Robin. There are too many missed signals, and not enough beds.
