James T. Kirk has worked hard to get back into shape to take back over command of the Enterprise. Unfortunately, Starfleet Command does not feel he is ready. To test him, they send him back to the Academy to retake his final command class and take a test that pushes his critical thinking, his physical being, and his emotional stability. It takes help from friends and comrades alike to get Kirk through three months of hell. In the end, it is up to Kirk to decide if he truly believes he can command his ship and crew... especially out in space for five years.
