Where Youve Gone

Keiji looks up at the blue sky that stretches out above where he sits in the grass. The sun is out and bright, but he can't feel the warmth of it on his skin. His hair is being ruffled by the breeze, but he doesn't feel that either. He can, however, hear the sound of cicadas singing in the trees. He thinks it might be summer here. There's a light pressure on his arm, so he turns to see Koutarou smiling at him with his usual warmth and brilliance, except he looks different than normal—shinier—like everything else here.
