Summary

Sometimes Yona forgets how much her comrades-friends, really, know about the before(s) in her life. She can name a few she knows for certain they know: she was a Princess, she was spoiled, she had Hak before anyone else.

But that night she thought she would never move past? That's seared into her mind like a loop that will never end? She knows that she's never once uttered that out loud, the wound too deep, too hard to talk about.

But as everyone sits at the fire, asking about a hairpin that she has finally tossed away, she can't help but think that now was better than never. And perhaps her silence had also hurt her oldest friend too. Because it wasn't just her that was betrayed that night.

Hak was too.
