Summary
The game that Balthier and Ashe are playing, which I dubbed Raithwall's Gambit, is actually a complete rip-off of The Royal Game of Ur, which you can look up on Wikipedia (but I take no responsibility for the three hours of fascinated clicking sure to follow and end with Taft in a wet T-shirt contest...)
