Short story in which the Batfamily is turned into cats and transported into the Warrior Cats universe, and, to his family's amusement and Damian's horror, they have to rely on Damian's knowledge of the Warriors series to get them through not being mauled by the fighty-murder-cult cats who have been through, well, as much drama, bloodshed and confusing plots as the Batfamily has. Damian would really appreciate it if his family started taking this a little more seriously, and stop talking about toe beans and whittle whiskers and pink noses when they weren't teasing him for reading kids' books about cats. StarClan makes the mistake of trying to manipulate Squirrelflight into thinking she has no other options when she's told she can't have kits, and thus ensures that Leafpool has a different option that isn't giving up her kits. Instead, she offers one that allows Leafpool to keep them.With the help of her sister and her parents, Leafpool makes her first decision without StarClan's interference and without being told she has to change her mind. She makes the choice to keep her kits, and she makes the choice to have them and raise them herself without stopping her duties as a medicine cat permanently. This action unravels the many issues regarding the Warrior Code that ThunderClan has been secretly and individually struggling with for a long time. It causes an outward reaction of change in which the clan is forced to confront StarClan's laws, each other, and themselves as ThunderClan's first kits are born into the new way of life all the while trying to keep it a secret from the other Clans.In the shadows, however, Ashfur waits until they get too comfortable. And then he plans to burn it all to the ground.

She knew she was gonna die if she did it but she did it anyways, to save everyone.” Her green eyes focused on Ashfur. “Do you think you’ll die saving everybody? Like her?”

When a fire engulfs ThunderClan's camp, the Clan flees. Unfortunately, Hollyleaf and her family are separated from the Clan, but they are at least together. That is, until a flaming tree branch corners herself and her family, with the exception of Squirrelfight. Squirrelflight struggles to find a way to save them until Ashfur comes to the rescue. One by one, they work together to get Hollyleaf and her siblings out of the fire. However, when Brambleclaw is the last to leave, Ashfur's demeaner changes, and he suddenly shows his true colors. Ashfur will do whatever it takes to get what he wants, even if that means hurting those he thinks he loves. That being said, Hollyleaf isn't about to just let it happen.
