Obi-Wan, Cal, and Cody have their first assignment. Something easy. Something simple. Something to give them time to bond and to learn how to work together. Cody doesn't bother trying to explain that nothing involving Obi-Wan Kenobi is ever easy. Or simple. And in this case, it is more than likely going to involve pirates.

“No, I don’t get paid enough for that.” The kid turns on his heel and walks right out of the room, clearly practiced at brushing customers off. What tips that kid gets must have been based on looks alone. Though there are probably plenty of people out there who would tip heavily to listen to that sass, Boba was certainly tempted. He wanted that durasteel bite used against him again. The curtain was still clattering loudly after his exit and Boba found he was left feeling slightly confused. The infliction, the way he had made that remark, it drummed up memories he had thought had shoved deep down into the abyss of his mind. Forgotten on purpose. He began to stew in silence while he waited for his food and drink to arrive. The meeting with the waiter playing over and over in his head like some holonet show. What had he missed? What hadn’t he noticed?

“I'm Luke Skywalker.” Cal's breath caught in his throat. Had the stranger not said it, he would never have guessed. The first thought that came to mind was how young he seemed. When he'd thought of Skywalker, he'd imagined him as a middle-aged veteran and a seasoned warrior, someone to look up to, who could help show him his place in the galaxy again; not this lanky boy with a careless sort of charm, a small stubble on his chin, constantly hovering between awkwardness and grace, between innocence and wisdom in a way only youth could. “Cal Kestis,” he replied, holding out a hand and hoping Skywalker hadn't noticed his surprise. “I've been wanting to meet you.” The boy shook his hand, and Cal tried not to wonder too much about the black glove and the iron grip. A prosthetic, no doubt. He could feel echoes of old pain hidden under the fabric, faded enough to be ignored. It didn't surprise him, and the story behind it was none of his business. They all had their scars.

BD did not wake up in Cal's lap, and he was going to make that everyone's problem.BD finds himself in an unfamiliar place, and he will do everything he can to protect the amnesiac, child-sized version of his Jedi from the ghosts of his past. Though, it seems, not in the way he expected nor in the era he belonged. In which BD travels back in time, screws with the timeline, and becomes the guardian of several traumatized children.

Cal survived Order 66, even if his Master did not. He survived and hid on Braaca as a scrapper, looking for a way to join the fight against the Empire. It took five years to build the sort of contacts that get him off planet without revealing what he'd once been.It was five years that he had to see clone troopers among stormtroopers.Five years that he was unaware of how the 92nd Legion were trying to find their missing Padawan-Commander before the Inquisitors did.

It has been about a week since Cal had destroyed the holocron containing the names of force-sensitive children. So far he didn’t have any regrets about his decision. He occasionally had nightmares of his vision that he’d had in the Vault on Bogano. He’d wake up disoriented, his body drenched with sweat, and the wound from Darth Vader throbbing angrily. Though the bacta patches had done a decent job healing the damage, there was still a long road to recovery both physically and emotionally.Kidnapping, experimentation, betrayal, and hurt/comfort. ;)--Lookout, their adventure isn't over. Somebody is still after Cal and his force abilities...--Story has concluded. Thank you so much to everybody who enjoyed reading and who left lovely sweet comments!
