As much as Chariot missed flying, compromising anyone’s safety was not something she was willing to do to get it back. She’d made peace with that loss, content with simply watching the other witches at Luna Nova fly in her place instead. All things considered, she should be grateful it was merely her flying that was being affected. Of course Croix had other ideas, as always. The promise she’d made before departing had been…ambitious to say the least, and Chariot had not expected her to succeed in fulfilling it. Perhaps hadn’t even wanted her to, instead much more in favour of the other woman sticking around so they could talk things over properly. Yet she also knew better than anyone that once Croix got an idea into her head she could not be swayed by anything.
