Whirlwind
by Happy45
All she felt was a slight resentment that he’d slept well, and she hadn’t. When she got to his quarters, Matt wasn’t there, so she took full advantage of the private space while he was gone. She pulled the blinds, turned off the lights and lay down on his cot. As soon as she lay down, however, she was reminded of how queasy lying down really made her feel. She snapped upright and put her head in the palm of her hand. What the hell was wrong with her? She never got sick.

The Rush Will Take You Away
by farfarawaygirl
Sylvie feels floaty. She’s very warm. Her lips are kind of tingly. That always happens when she gets sangria with citrus fruit in it, it’s a pleasant side effect. She makes fish lips at Kim, who is on the phone with Atwater.“Kevin!” She is saying, her face pinched a little, eyes bright. “I’m fine. You don’t need to pick me up.”“Kevin!” Sylvie sings, “Kevin! We’re fine! We had fish tacos!”“Right!” Kim gives a conspiratorial nod, winking at Sylvie. “We had fish tacos.”

Functional Dysfunction
by chantalis
Sarah Reese and Connor Rhodes get closer and come to mean more to each other than they're ready to admit, all while dealing with the soap-level drama that intertwines itself in their lives. This is an AU of sorts, when Sarah was choosing her specialties she still put Pathology as her number one choice, but she also put Emergency medicine and Neurology, and when she decided she didn't want to do pathology she didn't have to quit the program because she was accepted into all three, and decided to have two specialties; ED and Neuro.

Needy
by angellwings
They walk into Molly’s together, despite driving separately. It’s still early in the day, barely after one in the afternoon. The bar isn’t even technically open to the public yet, but for 51 Herrmann always makes an exception. Stella spots them as the door opens and smiles brightly, waving before she stoops back over to restock the bottled beers in the cooler under the bar.“Hey, you two!” She calls, voice muffled by the bar. She pops back up and focuses a curious lifted brow on Sylvie. “How was the omelette truck? Was it weird and full of hipsters? Did Grainger hate it as I know most smoke eaters would?”Sylvie’s eyes widen and a blush floods her cheeks as he and Stella stare at her, waiting for an answer. The deer in the headlights look is not one he sees on her very often. On himself, sure, but on Sylvie? It’s pretty rare.“Um, you know, we didn’t end up eating there,” she answers vaguely, fingers fiddling with the buckle on her watch band. “They were swamped. It was gonna take longer than it was probably worth.” She stops, clears her throat awkwardly, and revives her genuine beaming smile from the doctor’s office. “We’re here to celebrate and day drink!”

Overstepping
by angellwings
There were some harsh whispers back and forth and then Sylvie had dragged him to a table in the back. They were no longer in Matt’s line of sight but he tried to keep his ears tuned to the faint sound of Sylvie’s voice, listening for any signs of distress. Fifteen minutes later, he no longer had to strain so hard to hear either of them. “Right, of course,” Grainger says with a bitter chuckle. “Friends, yeah. That’s exactly what I want. It’s not like I don’t have enough of those.” “Greg—“ “I should have known,” he interrupts, not even bothering to keep his voice down. “The guys tried to warn me. They said you played this same game with Sheffield. Led him on and then ran away—“ “That simply isn’t true,” Sylvie rebuts firmly. “You have no idea what happened with Kyle. You shouldn’t pretend you do.”
