The Captain's Bargain
by NumbersGirlie
He says in a deadly whisper, “I should tell you: I also consider myself a very merciful man, which means I will graciously accept your apology.”. While he threatens me I consider my opponent. I wait him out just a spell more.I doubt he is lying right now. He thinks himself merciful. I have room to push further. “I do apologize” I say “I am so sorry that you thought you could take a girl half your size and your men still got their asses handed to them. Not to mention you”I can tell that something I said actually struck a chord. He squeezes my shoulders tighter and brings my face closer to his. “Are you really in the position to call me weak” He asks. I spit in his right in his face which earns me cruel pinch before he releases my shoulders dropping me. My legs, weak from exhaustion and lack of food, give way; I fall to my knees, and he kicks me in the stomach; I roll back from the impact. That hurt a lot. Then, to my horror, he then unsheathes his sword.
