A reimagining of TFP's Insecticons, inspired by thinking about how most social insect hives are mainly female and how few female TFs we see. It grew from there as I researched ants and bees and rewrote the beginning of Toxicity and the character of Hardshell. Decepticons are very individualistic and Megatron himself arose by setting himself against a caste system. Social insects operate as a unit and serve very specific roles in their hives. And yet, like Decepticons, social insects are warlike and bent on conquest. This fic reexamines one tiny moment of interaction to present those similarities and differences... and what they mean for the two groups' uneasy relationship to one another.
