Ghosts of City Boys
by MARS (PetulantAnimal)
It has been around 6 months since Tetsuo, Akira, and the espers vanished in the last massive implosion within the ruins of Neo Tokyo. The people of the Great Tokyo Empire are slowly but surely rebuilding, thanks to Kei’s firm leadership and assistance from the International Government. Meanwhile, Kaneda suffers nightmares about Tetsuo’s last moments. Memories of his former friend haunt him as he struggles to find new purpose in life. Even beyond the rift that Tetsuo has long since crossed, they are, somehow, still bound together by the ties of fate.

He's a riot
by lovecorevillain
"Just before the shadows of the night city engulf him, Tetsuo manages to catch a glimpse of Kaneda, who's looking right back at him. He sees a million different emotions reflected from the man's eyes. Kindness, bravery, recklessness and something Tetsuo can't even put into words. " "Eyes on the road." i wouldn't fall for someone i thought couldn't misbehave
by gemteeth
Even before the government took me after the accident, I managed to get a hold of my abilities. Before that, there was Kaneda. During it, Kaneda. And after it-“Kaneda."It's always been him. Feelings kept bottled inside for the past three years finally come forth.

the sun and moon adore you (but I do more)
by dozingoff
The sun offers warmth, and Kaneda feels it on his face, but it bleeds into his heart. He’s caught. When did Tetsuo ever look like that? He can only remember him as clumsy movements, frowns plastered, red scraped on his knees, and he almost chokes when he thinks pretty.

In a dream on forever stars never die
by desveladaescribiendo
“It’s whatever,” He said, even though he had been insanely glad when he had found all of Tetsuo’s clothes. It had been pretty embarrassing, because he had cried. It was seeing the ratty old clothes again and the waterworks began. The clothes, the beat up room- it had been ages before he had been in their old apartment. It kind of felt like he was dead, and finding all of his stuff was a punch to the gut.He had sobbed at the stupid aquamarine hoodie, like a champ, a fucking champ. There was no pretending otherwise. A continuation of the manga with a fun twist. grounded in the manga canon but mixes it with the anime, so don't worry!February 14th (happy valentines day) update: NEW CHAPTER is up! 3k words!

wake up, wake up
by kanetetsu
There's a chair pulled up right beside the bed. Tetsuo stares at it as if it's the reason why he's in the hospital. It might as well be, because there's a telltale bright red jacket draped over the back of it.

Like a dog that won't stop barking, like a cut that never stops bleeding
by St_James_Infirmary_Blues
The worst part of the nightmares Kaneda had was the way they always started off as the best dreams he’d ever had.- - -An uncertain future, a stagnated present, and a lingering past.
