Yeah, Manny Machado and Ha-Seong Kim were close friends. They were each other’s role model, their inspiration, hell, even their emergency contact if something happened. If one had a secret, he’d share it with the other. So, friends. Fingers-crossed close friends.Ha-Seong once shared on his Instagram story a photo of these wooden bats. Engraved on them was the name “Kimchado,” an obvious combination of the two’s surnames. It made Manny’s heart flutter a little bit, but didn’t think much of it.Not until, during the fan fest before Spring Training, Ha-Seong mentioned that if he became the third baseman (since the Padres already had a whole bunch of shortstops), he would like to be referred to as “Kimchado.”(A/N: this fic will be unfinished, but im not planning on orphaning it yet.)
