braided bracelet
by AroAceStories
Written for Fandom Ace Fest 2k18, prompt: trope inversion/subversion. Shy aromantic reader meets Python. "Thus far no one seemed to notice your identity on display. Not surprising; it was only an accessory, and few people knew what aromanticism was or its color scheme. Yet your pulse spiked each time someone glanced at it. It had taken months to gather the courage to wear it, and worry still pounded at the back of your mind."

til tomorrow
by Sevi (KelSevi)
But he couldn't quite keep his eyes on the wooden target ahead of him. It was boring to look at, even with the painted circles on its face. His eyes just kept wandering, and wandering, and wandering across the field, to the soldiers laying deep into the training dummies a distance away...And when his eyes fell on solid red armor, he couldn't quite find the willpower to look away.

Big Dreams and Pinky
by GaHoolianGirl
Their friendship baffled the rest of the village folk. Forsyth was loud and boisterous the moment he learned to speak, while Python was a child of a few words (and his words were both scathing and often scandalous when they came). But somehow, they worked. Little did everyone know just how well they worked together. Luckily enough for Python, the response he got was positive, overwhelmingly so just like everything with Forsyth. He grabbed Python’s neck, a little more forcefully than he seemed to intend because he lightened his grip immediately, and pulled him closer. They were both clumsy and inexperienced, but first kisses usually are, and Python never sweated the details of anything. It was good enough for him. Forsyth’s dream for them was cliche and idyllic, but if Python knew anything, it was that Forsyth had a knack for making crazy dreams come true.

by GaHoolianGirl
If Python was being totally honest with himself, something he took pride in being, he could be a bit of a sap when it comes to Forsyth. There was no real spark between them, and there didn’t need to be. Their relationship, if it had to be described in flowery terms, was like a sapling. It started out small, grew slowly, and ended up sturdy and proud. ...Gods, he was gross

Blessed be the Father
by Watch_Out_For_Them
Scarifies had to be made, it was part of being a priestess, part of being devoted to the Earth Mother, but most of all part of being human. And though every sacrifice affected you in its own unique way, losses hurt just as much. To lose or to sacrifice, well, they didn't seem so different to you. But now, now you would much rather sacrifice than lose that what is important to you. Because at least when you sacrificed, you had control over what it was.

Pardon the Executioner
by cesau
Forsyth's lips twitched into a crooked smile. He opened his mouth, and the rot gushed over his tongue and between his teeth, dribbled over his lips to the ground and still he smiled. He laughed, and Python heard the sound of crunching leaves, and then Forsyth's voice was like the crackle of ice breaking over a frozen lake. “You killed me,” he said. Then, over his shoulder, like warmth returned, “You did worse than that.” You might be able to read this standalone, if you're very fond of mysteries and unanswered questions.
