Bugs Run

The first story in an occasional and completely new original military sci-fi series. When she’d joined the army, Astrid had imagined desperate battles against the inhabitants of strange new worlds; okay she’d got the ‘strange new worlds’ (she supposed that Yanlor counted as ‘strange’). But, desperate battles? Not so much and as for ‘inhabitants’; so far the only really big life forms she’d seen were the odd insect-like ‘Bugs’ and they appeared to be totally harmless.
