Ghassan goes with him and the two of them settle down in a village where they soon live comfortably with Fariba and the four children they adopted. Soon however, the Immortals return and start looking for Sargon to apologize for what happened. They soon come to the area where Sargon and his family live.Sargon now has to decide if he will tell his friends who his mother really is. As if that wasn't enough, a message arrives from Thomyris; she is dying and wants to see Sargon one last time. Will Sargon forgive the Immortals and Anahita for what they did? Will he return to the palace and make amends with his mother? Or will he be too late?

They are shown the events of The Lost Crown. But the Simurgh has a big surprise in store for Sargon- one that links the two of them more closely than most people could ever dream. What is it and what sort of secrets will Sargon discover about his family? Meanwhile The Immortals appear from after the events of The Lost Crown and are given a chance to make amends with Sargon. But he seems to have vanished. Will they be able to find him and repair their friendship? And what is this mysterious Blue Phoenix Wolf Clan that they were told to find?
