The first thing that Willis Todd does out of prison is an experience far more humiliating than all the years he’s just spent in Blackgate. A small mercy is, he supposes, that it is not Bruce Wayne who actually picks up the phone. willis todd does not know how it felt to hold his son’s body as it got cold. bruce wayne did not ever hold jason as an infant, nor at five.whatever they say about april and the worth of money.

Willis thinks about the way trauma freezes you in time; the way a part of you lives permanently in a single moment. He hazards a guess as to which moment Jason might be trapped in, reliving over and over. He adds, “You’re not in Ethiopia.”“I’m not in Ethiopia,” Jason says, coarsely, like he’s not quite aware he’s speaking the truth.“You’re in Gotham. You’re on my couch. The cat is sitting next to you. She wants you to pet her.”

Willis had been a handsome man once. Tall and broad, with a strong jaw and dark brown eyes. He had a hell of an arm on him, could have been star quarterback if he’d tried. A shoe in for Prom King too. Then life had happened and Gotham on top.He never meant to be a bad father. But at least he didn't let his son die. On what would have been Jason's 23rd birthday, he decides to pay Bruce Wayne a visit.

"In this stunning sci-fi adventure, two warriors engaged in a savage futuristic war between Earth and the planet Dracon crash-land on a desolate fiery planet. At first the human and his reptilian alien opponent are intent on destroying each other. But after battling the elements and each other, the two stranded pilots gradually realize that the only way either of them will survive is to overcome their undying hatred."... That's what it says on the back of the DVD. What follows below is an AU take on how that goes...

Davidge and Shigan are marooned together, and from that they become a family. This is a fix-it for the movie, where nobody dies and they live happily ever after.

Willis made a mistake, and now he's dead. Unfortunately for Harvey, he left something behind, and perhaps guilt is stronger than fate.

Willis never had a son. "Catherine" didn't always use that name. Shelia Haywood lied. And yet- 'Jason Todd' exists. Or: that fic where nobody actually got around to doing a DNA test for our favorite second Robin. things would have gone very differently if they had.

Jason trembled in the face of Willis Todd, especially when the man caught the scent of drugs or Jason didn't follow his orders fast enough. But Bruce Wayne and the occasional presence of Harvey Dent made his heart sink to his knees. Nobody messes with a Wayne and gets out of it alive. Nobody shoulda been surprised that Willis had been the one to do just that. Minus the alive part.Which left him and Bruce Wayne.Bruce Wayne as in the guy everybody in the Narrows fears but the rich still fawn over. Yeah, Jason was only ten, not a psychologist but the guy seemed to be a bit clingy to him.
