You look at his face for a long time and carefully, trying to guess what his dreams are about. Removing a strand from his eyes, you think about how lucky you really are that he is in this family. Colborn has always understood you better than anyone. He never demanded words or complete answers from you, he just always knew how to behave in any situation with understanding and sensitivity. You appreciate this quality in him, and you can't help but look at him with warmth when he once again asks you for advice or asks about your book. And he won't ask too much. You never told him about the secret of Walter or Radley that you solved a long time ago, but if he had asked you, you would have told him. But he won't ask, you doubt even that he noticed that something was wrong with them. Colborn is used to looking at the whole picture, looking at the small details only if he really likes the picture. And it's quite difficult to please him, by the way.
