Xiangling. She was barely tall enough to see over the table's edge. Rounder in the face and cherubic. Maybe eight or nine years old. More adorable, especially with the dash of oil and sauce streaking across her cheek. The date on the menu suddenly made a different kind of sense as I internalized it through a real example.
