It is said that three hundred years ago, humanity was almost completely eradicated by a deadly and incurable disease. Only those that managed to flee to the shelter provided by the Divine Tree survived. This event came to be known as the Calamity, marking the end of the Common Era and the start of the Divine Era.The truth however, is that the Calamity had not been caused by a disease at all, but by the Vertex, monsters originating from the distant stars.
