Sherlock takes them with quiet dignity, though his guilt rams him through during bouts when John’s shoulder begins to act up, or his leg, and he has to stop for the day. It is those days that Sherlock prefers the most. At least, in those moments, John reacts to him, speaks to him, and he can’t help but feel they may be getting somewhere. Maybe, somewhere, that they can climb out of, but as the days turn to months, Sherlock can’t help but feel his hope, - when had that gotten there?, - crumble ever so slightly.

Its been four years since Sugar left for the fairy world to become a full-fledged snow season fairy. For old times sake, Sugar decides to visit Saga, who is still living at her grandparents house and is now part of the local theater troupe. She wants to communicate with Saga, determined to relieve her good times with Saga one time, on one day, regardless of the fairy-human barrier, hoping their strong connection can overcome any obstacles. However, she realizes that Saga can no longer see her, despite her best efforts. At certain points, Saga thinks that Sugar is there, but dismisses this as overwork, while Saga's grandmother doesn't even believe fairies are real!

Can she restore the barrier before it is too late? Will Saga think she is real? Or just a figment of her imagination? This fic, one of the few for this series, will answer those questions and more.
