chessboxing for beginners (and other exciting post-apocalyptic sports)

a game consists of 11 alternating rounds of chess and boxing. each round lasts 3 minutes, on the clock. fighters win by: a) knockout, b) checkmate, c) stalemate, or d) judge’s decision. nearly all other standard chess and boxing rules apply. Virgil is about to throw himself off a bridge. Logan is the owner of a quiet gym with a focus on a very strange hybrid sport. Also, there's dinosaurs. Nobody knows what's up with the dinosaurs.
