Three years after the events of the golden tower, the iron trio is finally getting around to a normal life.Aaron and Call are taking classes like regular Collegium students and Tamara has just graduated a year early with outstanding merits. Life is looking up for the trio until an unexpected curveball takes Tamara all the way to London and leaves Call heartbroken.Aaron, tired of seeing his friend so down, is desperate to get Call back on his feet. He convinces the masters to allow them to go on a “mission” to study air elementals as part of their final project, promising to bring back valuable information about the nesting habits of the beasts. What he doesn’t anticipate is the fact that the two makars are way out of their league in the wilderness of the Smoky Mountains and that the elementals might teach them more about themselves than they might expect
