Zuko... may have been hasty, when he got on that raft instead of finding his friends and at least seeing if he needed to pull this disappearing act. It was day three of sitting of a raft in the middle of the ocean though, and a little too late for him to do anything about his regrets. He had other stuff he could focus on, like perfecting the Dancing Dragon and trying to figure out why Uncle was steering them to the northern tip of the Fire Nation. Meanwhile, the Gaang have left the North Pole and are on their way to pick up Bumi and round out the gaang, they just had to stop and talk to the General Fong guy first. This shouldn't lead to any complications, right?

Water Tribe members fell for people they grew up with, those with the same vibrant cerulean eyes as their own. This was especially true of the Southern Water Tribe, which was much smaller and more disconnected from the outside world than their sister tribe. For the most part, if you were born there, you stayed there, and your soulmate was in the same situation.However, when the word got out that the color of the chief's son's soulmate’s eyes were gold… excitement turned into fear. No matter how much anyone wanted to deny it, gold eyes were a trait exclusive to the people of the Fire Nation. His fire flares up when Sokka first pushes him up against the crumbling stone columns of the courtyard. Zuko kisses like he’s expecting a fist to follow but doesn’t care; he’ll take everything Sokka is offering him for as long as he's allowed, kisses with all the recklessness that Sokka maybe should’ve expected from the boy who throws himself at danger like it's the only friend he has.
