The orc‘s blade came racing down towards his chest, about to pierce it. Thorin readied himself for the impact as much as he could, holding his own blade tight in his hand to ram it into the creature‘s belly when he‘d be close enough. They‘d both die on this hill, together, as was their fate.“NO!“A flash of blue, silver and gold forced itself between Thorin and Azog. Instead of cutting clean through Thorin’s chest, the pale orc‘s blade hit something else. Something small that had thrown itself in between and curled onto the King‘s body to shield him.“No-…“, Thorin wheezed, hands coming up to grasp at what had saved him, clasping at a blue coat lined with fur. “No, please, no…“Or: Some no-brainers that logically should have happened on Raven Hill (+ aftermath) and I will – figuratively – die on this hill!
