Everything is peaceful for our heroic duo. That changes very fast after a Lombax Warship comes through a rift and crashes in the city. Ratchet is then informed of the danger the Lombax race faces in the other dimensions. He and Clank then head back through the dimensions to save the future of the Lombaxes. They'll meet old friends, new friends, old enemies, and new enemies in this interdimensional journey.

I was beginning to think we were mistaken on your location.""Sir, please hurry!" Sigmund pleaded before Nefarious grabbed him by the arm and dragged him out of the closet. He ripped the walkie-talkie from the smaller robots hands and then kicked Sigmund aside.Nefarious lifted the walkie to his face. "Listen here, whoever you are. We have your friend at gunpoint." As he spoke, a Combustor appeared in his hand and Nefarious aimed it at Sigmund. "If you want to see him again, I suggest you come to the Great Clock. If not... well then, there'll be quite a mess to clean up."
