"I guess we're stuck just sitting here doing nothing for the rest of the day." Stede lets out, sighing in faux disappointment. Truthfully, Stede could spend forever doing nothing and still be content as long as Ed was with him. "C-can i try on your clothes?" It was almost a whisper, showing just how small and nervous Edward was feeling at the moment. There was no smile on his face anymore, and his eyes were slightly wider than usual. a regressed!Ed wants to try on Stede's clothes.

If he moves, he’ll break down. He’ll crumble to the ground and not want to get up ever again. He shuts his eyes and tries to focus on keeping still. Maybe if he stays still, it won’t be real. Maybe he’s having a nightmare. Yes, it has to be a nightmare. This is all a nightmare and he wants to wake up now. ‘Please wake up.’ ‘Please wake up.’ ed hears the worst news of his life.

The bookshelves that once held so many books that Stede loved, now sit barren and empty. Most of the room was like that. He had moved and gotten rid of so many things that reminded him of Stede. From the books, to the clothes, to most of the furniture. The only place he hadn't touched was the auxiliary wardrobe. He couldn't bring himself to even step foot in there yet. It looked so empty. No evidence of Stede ever even being there. But there was definitely evidence of Edward. Evidence of him and his pain. sad small!ed misses stede.
