It’s embarrassing to admit it, which is why he tries to keep his one irrational fear to himself, until one nosy genius/billionaire/playboy/philanthropist accidentally finds out what it is. The truth is, thunderstorms scare the crap out of him.Alternate summary: basically, five times Tony comforted Steve during a storm, and the one time the whole team did.
