Merlin (TV)
Breaking Tradition
by MiaGhost
For three years Arthur has visited the Uni library to see them put their Christmas tree up and this year will be no different. Well, except that it's the last before he graduates and heads off to work for his father. He likes to watch, to see the tree go up and the tinsel and the lights. There's also the fact that the scrawny librarian who performs the tradition is clumsy and all kinds of weird. Yet somehow adorable. This year, Arthur's going to man up and talk to him. At the very least he'll get his name. Merlin loves Christmas. When he started working in the Uni library and they asked for someone to put up the tree, he fell over himself to volunteer. It's a time-consuming job and makes him such a perfectionist, but he loves it. He also likes the regal-looking blonde who frequents the library, particularly on Sunday mornings when he comes alone and looks decidedly soft and sleepy and cuddly. Merlin's decided that this, his last year, is his chance. If the bloke visits this year he'll ask him to help. Or for his number. Or if he wants a hot chocolate. Or a holiday romance. Tis the season, after all.
